Any geometric shape is a source of inspiration. I play with lines and circles to discover patterns. Even many of my floral patterns begin with geometric shapes, often resulting in designs that have a Mid Century vibe.

From playing around with geometrics, often floral and botanical patterns emerge. Most of the time, these are handpainted on using underglaze and protected by wax for their final glazing, resulting in a tactile matte finish on the design.

To switch things up once in a while, I also create more organic designs, mostly inspired by nature. These are created freehand, so each one is therefore different and unique.

I love to create any kind of line work on my pieces. Often this is combined with a circular shape resulting in a radial pattern.
